Virgin Online Casino in Deal with Microgaming

Players at Virgin Online Casino are in for a treat following a new agreement that has been signed with the online gaming software giant, Microgaming. The deal will see the casino’s players benefiting from the newly available access to the developer’s extensive portfolio of Flash casino games.

In the months to follow, a considerable number of Microgaming’s more than 400 online entertainments will be introduced to the casino’s clients. The first step in the process has already taken place with the introduction of the popular video slot game, Thunderstruck. It’s a five reeler with nine paylines and although some might be aware that it was first released several years ago, it appears to have lost little of its appeal due largely to the fact that it still boasts some of the best audiovisuals in online gambling.

The game’s theme is based on the legendary Norse God, Thor and offers players a shot at a 10 000 credits, fixed jackpot as well as 15 free spins with treble payouts.

By way of a celebration, Virgin Casino has been holding a promotion throughout this week in which every player can get 20% cashback up to a maximum of £100 per day. All that is necessary is to place a wager on the Thunderstruck slot and any losses incurred will be eligible for the 20% cashback promotion.  The cashback will be paid to player’s accounts on the day following any of their losses and it may be fully withdrawn with no conditions.

Although players will find the Thunderstruck game exciting and simple to play, Virgin has extended the promotion by including a number of other popular games in the cashback offer. A list of qualifying games is displayed on their site.

The games portfolio on offer at Virgin Casino is something of a hybrid. It combines games from Wagerworks, the basic software provider, with selections from Cryptologic, Ash Gaming and Fremantle. The addition of the Microgaming selection cokes as a direct result of request by their punters and is directly in line with the casino’s stated policy of providing its players with the widest range of quality online entertainments available.

The casino’s CEO, Simon Burridge has indicated that he is delighted by the agreement with Microgaming and that the coming months will see lots of new and lucrative promotions centred on the numerous planned new game launches.  That sounds like just one more sound reason to check out the Virgin Online Casino.

Month End Tourneys Underway at Caribbean Gold

June has been a month to remember for punters at the Caribbean Gold Casino. They have been enjoying a continuous series of exciting and lucrative online tournaments that has had plenty to offer slots, roulette, blackjack and video poker lovers alike. A member of the English Harbour Group of online casinos, the venue has treated its players both to tournaments with guaranteed prize pools and to tournaments in which the winners simply shared whatever pot had accumulated.

With month-end in sight, Caribbean Gold Online Casino still has a surprise or two up its sleeve. Sunday saw the kick off of their last Slot-tery event for June and it will run right through until next Sunday, the 27th. The Slot-tery is a term the casino uses to describe its pot pool tournaments in which the actual amount of the prize pool remains unknown until the very last minute. As a guideline, a similar event that closed on the 20th attracted a final prize pool of $10 000.

The buy-in for the event is a modest $5 and since this will only buy a stack equivalent to $75 in credits, players will need all their skills and a helping of luck to stay in contention. Re-buys are limited to 60 per player and this, of course, is precisely the reason that the final prize pool is able to grow as large as it frequently does.

Another way of ensuring reasonable size payouts is to ensure that the event does not run too deep. The Sot-tery will typically only pay the top forty on the leaderboard with the first place finisher taking away a 35% share that is likely to be about $3 500 This is not at all bad for the relatively small buy-in involved.

The month-end Slot-tery will feature the popular 5-reel video slot game, “The Reel Deal”. The game is based upon the highly popular TV game show known as “Deal or No deal” and it has proved to be every bit as attractive to players as the Television version is to its viewers.

If you are too busy, too impatient for results or simply not a fan of the week-long tournament format, Caribbean Gold Casino has also set up a series of daily tournaments to keep you entertained all the way to month-end. Among the games that will feature in these events is a collection of Vegas Technology’s top offerings that includes, X Marks the Spot, Dr. Love, Vegas Party, Naughty Ninjas, Take Lounge and Eastern Dragon. The buy-in is even cheaper at just $3 and re-buys are also freely available.

So if your soccer team has proved to be a disappointment, there’s still a chance to restore your smile by grabbing one of these enjoyable online tournament opportunities at the Caribbean Gold Online Casino.

Greece Accelerates Move to Legalize Online Casinos

At least one victim of the world economic recession appears to have forsaken any “holier than thou” attitude towards the evils of online gambling in favour of a far more sensible and practical approach. Despite its recent descent into bankruptcy, the poor relative of the European Union estimates that its citizens generate around 5 billion Euros in taxable revenue every year through their various gambling activities.

That may not seem like a lot to a country that is faced with the crippling repayments on debts that are said to total as much as €310 billion and growing but it’s still a whole lot more than they can hope to make selling Ouzo and Dolmades to a dwindling tourist market.

The debt crisis appears to have lit a fire underneath those who were previously in favour of a monopoly for Greek Betting Giant, OPAP, on all forms of gambling.  The company, it appears, will now have to be happy to retain its monopoly on lottery tickets and sports betting until 2019 whilst, in the meantime, the government will be offering the online licenses for casinos and card rooms to those best positioned to implement them. It is widely anticipated that a draft framework for the regulation of online gaming in Greece should be available for public consultation quite soon.

Despite the risk that OPAP could be sidelined by the government’s new stance , its CEO, Ioannis Spanoudakis, remains under the impression that his company is still the best able to take advantage of the new licenses having already established more than 5 000 sales agents around the country. With a 34% shareholding in OPAP, the government too, has interests of its own to protect.

The progress of this vital new legislation is being hampered currently by the prevarications of the lawmakers and already the government’s financial plan to generate its first €1.3 billion in license sales, taxes and royalties by 2012 is showing a first quarter deficit for 2010 of around 11%. The longer the delays in implementation, the greater will be the losses and it seems certain that the government will need to take some stern action to accelerate the process.

It all sounds a bit familiar doesn’t it?  It ‘s quite easy to forget that a bill was passed by the previous government to legalize online gambling in South Africa and, mare than two years into the new administration, we are still awaiting the regulatory framework from our own snail-like bureaucrats at Trade and Industry.

Go Casino to Host Father’s Day Tourneys

It is not widely known but it actually took some 60 years for the male parents to achieve equal status with mothers in having a special day allotted for their offspring to acknowledge the role they play in the family unit.

Although father’s day is still seen by most men as one of the biggest non-events of the year, at least one establishment has made the effort to see that the dads of the world are able to enjoy a treat this weekend.

Go Casino is holding two online slots tournaments in honour of the paternal community this weekend. So, even if you miss out on breakfast in bed or a new polka dot tie, there is still a chance to have some fun and maybe even make a buck or two in the process.

Father’s day is not until Sunday, in fact, but the first of the tournaments actually kicks off on Friday and has been dubbed the” Father’s Day Weekend Madness”.  The tourney will carry a total prize pool of $75K, one of the largest ever offered by Go Casino. Of this $39 900 will be paid out in cash and split between the top ten winners, whilst the balance will be awarded in the form of loyalty points or Bonus Bucks as they are known at Go Casino. Top prize in the event is a hefty $20K and even the tenth finisher will pocket $750.

You can sign up for this one for a modest $12.99 and unlimited re-buys are the order of the day should you be really determined. The nominated game for this event is “Fire Hawk”, a fairly recent release with a native American theme. It offers a fixed jackpot of 6 000 coins as well as up to 20 free spins with a multiplier of up to 10 x as a sweetener.

Registration is already open and there have been more than a hundred sign-ups to date.

If your father’s day presents have put too much of a strain on your retail accounts or credit card then Go Casino is also offering a freeroll slots tourney where you can take a shot at the money at no charge. This is their Father’s Day Weekend Bonus Buck Freeroll. The prize pool is somewhat smaller at just $5 000, but the zero buy-in still makes it an attractive prospect. Even the re-buys are modestly priced at just $2.99 each.  This event will run from 09h00 on Saturday until 22h00 on Sunday and the nominated game is “20 000 Leagues”, one of the casino’s long-term favourites.

The events sound like a lot of fun and, who knows; maybe the kids will fork out the buy-in for you so happy father’s day!

All Slots Casino now Yours in a Flash

As one of the leading brands of the Jackpot Factory Group, All Slots Online Casino has always been something of an innovator. It is now a while since the site announced its intention to launch a brand new Flash casino as part of its offering and the closing days of last month saw it finally unveiled.

Instant play casinos are not new of course and many online venues now offer this option as an alternative to performing a full download of their games lobby software. Development platforms vary between Java and Flash with the latter being the more commonly used of the two. Flash casinos offer the distinct advantage of being contained completely within the website and thus accessible directly through a player’s web browser.

Where All Slots Casino has shown its innovative talent is in the inclusion in its Flash games portfolio of some of its new live dealer games. Among those included, players will be able to enjoy popular table games like roulette, baccarat and blackjack. In these interactive entertainments, players operate through their interface as usual but live croupiers and dealers  are seen to conduct the actual gaming activities via streaming internet video feeds.

In explaining the thinking behind All Slots’ decision to implement their Instant Play option, David Brickman, the Jackpot Factory’s Vice President for Player Affairs commented that it made sense in an ever-faster moving world to make life a little easier on their players.  Offering a lighter and faster-loading games lobby and eliminating time-consuming downloads would ease the time pressures on today’s busy players that are constantly on the move.

Players who select the new option will not lose out to those members who continue to operate the downloaded version.  Not only will they be able to enjoy more than 300 games, something unusual for a Flash Casino, but they will also not miss out on the site’s regular and generous promotional events. In addition, Brickman revealed that there are quite a number of further enhancements planned for the new platform that could, ultimately, make it the more attractive choice for the majority of punters.

Currently the welcome bonus at All Slots Casino is particularly attractive. Not only does the first deposit attract a 100% match of up to 200 credits but every single deposit thereafter will also qualify for a 10% bonus of up to 450 credits in any given month. That means that, over the course of a full year, players at All Slots Casino could earn more than 5 000 free credits.

What better time to sign up at All Slots Casino than the present?
